Good to know

Overtime and break rules vary by country, role, agreement and employer. This tool applies only the weekly threshold and multiplier you enter; it is an estimate, not payroll or legal advice.

How to use this timesheet calculator

  1. Enter each worked day's clock-in, clock-out and unpaid break.
  2. Set the hourly rate and overtime rule that applies to you.
  3. Review daily totals, weekly hours and estimated gross pay.

Calculate a weekly timesheet with breaks

Each worked row subtracts its unpaid break from the elapsed time between clock-in and clock-out. Leave both time fields empty for a non-working day. If clock-out is earlier than clock-in, the shift is treated as ending the following day. The calculator adds the paid minutes across all seven rows and shows the total in hours-minutes and payroll-ready decimal hours.

Regular hours, overtime and estimated gross pay

The weekly threshold you enter divides the total into regular and overtime hours. Estimated gross pay is regular hours multiplied by the hourly rate, plus overtime hours multiplied by the hourly rate and your chosen overtime multiplier. For example, 42 hours at €20 with overtime after 40 hours and a 1.5 multiplier gives €800 regular pay plus €60 overtime pay, or €860 gross.

What this timesheet does not decide

Overtime entitlement, daily thresholds, double time, paid breaks, rounding, taxes and deductions depend on the law, contract and payroll policy that apply to you. This calculator does not infer those rules. It applies one weekly threshold and one multiplier exactly as entered, does not round clock times, and reports gross pay before tax or deductions.

Overnight shifts and blank days

An entry from 22:00 to 06:30 is treated as an 8 hour 30 minute overnight shift before breaks. A shift cannot be zero minutes, and its unpaid break must be shorter than the time on site. Blank rows contribute nothing to the weekly total, so the same form works for part-time, five-day and seven-day schedules.

Choose the right work-time tool

Use this calculator to total a whole week and estimate pay. Use the Work Hours Calculator for one shift with a break, or the Time Duration Calculator for elapsed clock time without payroll assumptions.

Frequently asked questions

Does this calculator round clock times?

No. It calculates to the minute from the times entered. Apply your employer's official rounding policy separately.

Can I use a different overtime threshold?

Yes. Enter any weekly threshold from 0 to 168 hours. The tool does not verify whether that threshold is legally or contractually correct.

Are taxes deducted from estimated pay?

No. The pay result is a gross estimate before tax, insurance, pension, benefits or other deductions.
