Count weekdays between two dates
This calculator counts Monday through Friday dates in the selected range and reports weekend days separately. The range is inclusive: if both selected endpoints are weekdays, both count as business days. A single weekday selected as both start and end is one business day; a Saturday or Sunday selected alone is zero business days.
What this business-days calculation excludes
Saturdays and Sundays are excluded automatically. Public holidays, company shutdowns, regional working patterns and Saturday-working schedules are not included because they vary by place and policy. Treat this result as a Monday-to-Friday weekday count, then apply the holiday calendar or contractual rule that governs your deadline, payroll or delivery estimate.
Business days versus calendar days
Calendar days include every date in the range. Business days in this tool include only weekdays, so the difference is made up of Saturdays and Sundays. For example, a Friday-to-Monday range contains four calendar days, two business days and two weekend days. The result shows all three counts so the assumption is visible before you use it.
